DISCLAIMER
The program offered by The Academy of Superheroes can involve strenuous physical activity both in the studio and in the community including, but not limited to, muscle strength and endurance training, cardiovascular conditioning and training, and other various fitness activities. It is your responsibility to inform us if the participant is not in good physical condition or suffers from any known disability or condition that would prevent or limit their participation in this program. It is also your responsibility to inform us of any changes in health that might affect the participant’s ability to take part in our program, including short-term conditions that might influence the participant on the day of their appointment.
Please note that exercise can cause one to feel light-headed, faint, dizzy, nauseated, or to experience pain or discomfort. We will endeavour to be as responsive as possible and stop the activity if we observe any signs of discomfort. Participation in our program is purely voluntary and participants are in no way obligated to perform or participate in any activity that they do not wish to do, and it is their right to refuse such participation at any time during a session. Physical activity also poses a risk of injury that we cannot eliminate entirely, although we will take any possible action to ensure our participants’ safety. Please note that we will contact emergency medical services in case of an emergency and we will administer first aid training if deemed necessary.
If the participant’s program includes virtual reality (VR) experiences, please note that some of the exercise apps involve flashing lights, so they are not recommended for individuals who have a history of seizures. Please inform us immediately if the participant has a condition such as epilepsy or if you suspect it. VR can also cause discomfort, such as eye strain, blurred or altered vision, motion sickness, nausea, dizziness, or impaired balance. We will endeavour to minimise any discomfort and ensure the safety of our participants at all times. Nevertheless, please note that, as with exercise, VR also involves health and safety risks that we cannot entirely avoid.
